Hello! I am Alexis Farmer and I am glad you found my website. I come from a loving home with parents who have taught my sister and me the value of helping others and striving to do our best in whatever we set out to do.
I am a volunteer. Being a volunteer means giving of my time and energy to help others. I hope to serve as an example to young people and those around me that volunteering is a necessary and uplifting experience. Helping others in need benefits both the recipients and yourself. Find something you can do, and then do it. "Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin." James 4:17 (NKJ)
My goals in life are to succeed in my academic endeavors and to eventually go to medical school to become and orthopedic surgeon. Having been through knee surgery and months of rehabilitation have taught me about compassion and patience. My father has been a nurse and paramedic for over twenty years and I admire his dedication to his patients and their well-being. Serving others as part of the healthcare profession is something I look forward to.
I am currently the reigning Miss Boone County 2006, Teen Miss Boone County International 2007, and Miss Ozark Mountain Spirit 2007. I love participating in pageants and have found that pageants are an excellent way for me to channel my competitive spirit while encouraging others to become involved in volunteering.
